Recently, my sisters, mother, and I had the pleasure of visiting Roghani’s Restaurant at Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle, Idaho, to celebrate National Daughters Day with their exquisite afternoon tea. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were transported by its old-world charm, with subtle French, European, and Persian influences woven into both the cuisine and the ambiance. Roghani’s takes pride in using locally sourced Idaho produce to create dishes that are as fresh as they are flavorful, and every bite was a testament to that commitment.
One of the highlights was the vast selection of teas, both caffeinated and non-caffeinated, carefully curated to suit all tastes. The knowledgeable staff was there to guide us through the menu, but their service was refreshingly European in style—offering us time to relax, enjoy the experience, and savor each moment without interruptions. We could sit, chat, and take in the ambiance, allowing us to feel fully immersed in our special afternoon.
My mother reflected on what made the day so memorable: “Everyone stopped their clock, stepping out of busy lives to connect with each other for a ‘moment in time.’” This idea truly resonated, especially in the beautifully decorated environment, with elegant wallpaper, fresh flowers, and even ornate bathroom stalls! The hallway, lined with chandeliers, added to the luxury, and the waitresses, dressed in charming outfits, completed the experience with their impeccable service.
One of the best parts of our visit was Wednesday Afternoon Tea, which Roghani’s offers weekly. The teas are inspired by the season, paired with beautiful flowers, creating an ever-changing experience for guests. For this special day, we dressed up, wearing fancy hats, and I even scored some elegant gloves for less than $10 on Amazon to complete my outfit.
